Create an Effective Operations Manual
An effective Operations Manual can be created by collecting all user manuals for individual pieces of equipment and inserting into binders. A 3" thick 3 or 19 ring binder works well.
The manual should include the following:
- Custom cover and spine art.
- Any custom documentation should be at the front of the manual.
- Simplified block diagram of the entire system, identifying key components.
- Digital photos of control boxes identifying key components.
- Separate page or section for each basic function of the system.
- Training sign-off sheet.
- List names of individuals within the organization who are to be trained on the system. Have each individual sign the sheet at the conclusion of the training.
