Critical Data Back-up

Any one of several things can happen ... the battery dies (expected life span 5 years) ... the processor board broke and our programmed information went with it! ... Oops! The instructions were not very clear about which direction download really is. I think I just copied blank information over the good information! ... No, tech support did not have any of our current information ...

Every installation should have a printed copy of critical configuration and formula information for each piece of programmable machinery that is important to daily operations.

Newer machinery should be backed up to floppies, hard drives or CDs.

And not just one copy, but several copies, dated, and labeled with a machine ID.

Some recent machines have the capability of coping information to a flash memory chip via a black box.

A flash memory chip does not require electrical/battery power to maintain memory.

One flash memory chip can hold one machine's memory.

One memory box can be used to copy and restore multiple machines.

As an example, you could back up memory on a washer extractor. Change the memory chip, and backup a dryer. Change the memory chip again and change the dip switch on the black box, now back-up memory on a Miltrac System controller or CBW Miltron.

Now you can rest secure knowing that when the problem happens, when not if, it breaks, critical formula and configuration information can be quickly restored and have you back up and producing clean linen again.

We can help you be ready to meet these unexpected challenges.

Document and Backup Critical Information

  • We can provide a printed copy of your critical data.
  • We can provide download boxes and flash memory chips for quick restoring of lost memory.
  • We can maintain a copy of your critical system data for future reference.
  • We can verify that your existing black box actually has information programmed. Don't wait until you need the information to find out that the download did not work the first time!

Tip

Can't tell what the picture diagrams on switchpanels are trying to tell you?

Use stick on labels in English to identify what position the switch should be in.

Or stick on dots in different colors, go beyond language barriers as a quick check on switch position /condition identification. Green=Go, Red=NoGo/Stop, Yellow= Caution/Question, can help to identify what position the switch should be in.
